My sincere apologies for the delay in getting this mailer out to you as I realise that it is already the 20th of the month and also, as much as I tried, I could not shorten this mailer as there is just so much information for you, right up to the Stop Press announcement right at the end of this.

MIDE Promos are over.

Now that the Malaysian International Dive Exhibition of 2009 is over, things are back to normal operations, especially with the clearing up of a tremendous back log of emails and various inquiries.

Having said that, although the promos for products in our retail department is over, there are still a few very attractive dive trips that are ongoing so do check with us for that long overdue, stress relieving holiday trip and underwater adventure for you, your loved ones and of course, your family.

Aqua Lung.

As we recently announced, Scuba Dynamics will no longer be retailing the Aqua Lung and related range of dive equipment and accessories as distributed by the current local distributor. Of course, plans are well underway to replace the items that we no longer carry and more. Details will be announced as soon as we complete our negotiations to ensure that we will continue to assure you of the best possible prices, variety, reliability of products as well as the necessary after sales support.

Website.

We are also happy to announce that Bob, our resident instructor, has been busy updating our website and it is now loaded with the latest on course, trip and product info as well as a new photo gallery that posts some incredible photos. Check us out if you haven’t paid us a virtual visit recently.

Tourism Malaysia Licence.

We are also extremely happy to announce that after a long delay, we have finally got our operating licence from the Tourism Department of Malaysia and with that, we are now proud to say that all of our trips, training or leisure, domestic or international, are fully legit, (something that not too many other operators in Malaysia can boast of)! For this, we thank En. Farid Hamid for trudging through the necessary paperwork and governmental procedures. Thank you Farid.

Google Map.

Another long overdue highlight is that Scuba Dynamics is now on Google Maps, so if you are unsure of our physical location, just go to Google Maps, type in Scuba Dynamics + Malaysia and viola! You have a hybrid road or a satellite map showing you where exactly we are and how best to get to us.

We would also like to remind the many of you that we are still holding a small stack of certification cards so if you have done a course with us over the years and have not come by to collect your credentials, please drop by at your convenience to do so.

National Day 2009.

Please take note that Scuba Dynamics will be joining Malaysia in her next birthday celebrations and will be closed from the 29th to 31st August.

New Book titles.

We are also happy to announce that we are now stocked with a few new titles of reference and “coffee table” books that are extremely hard and in many cases, impossible to find in our local book stores. These titles are on our website and at your convenience; drop by to see for yourself why these books are most highly recommended for you and everyone else, especially with the upcoming festive season.

Halcyon.

We are also well stocked up with the awesome range of Halcyon diving equipment and systems and for those in the know, Halcyon needs no introduction as it has been THE respected line of diving systems throughout the world for a long time.

Dive Junkie.

Our range of this fine line of apparel is still unequalled in the local market and as demand of this has been so high, we will be restocking our inventory in view of the festive season so do pop by for that lovely little gift to yourself or just about anyone else to wear with pride when out on a diving or beach holiday, or anywhere else for that matter.

Underwater Photography Accessories.

We were recently offered a “never to be repeated” range of these accessories at amazing prices and as a result, we are now better stocked up than ever on this range but in spite of the concluded promo prices, these items are selling like hot cakes and very few items are kept sitting on our shelves for long so once again, do hurry to pick up that lens, housing, set of arms, strobes and or any of the bits & pieces that makes this extremely fast growing underwater hobby another amazing experience.

Dive courses.

We have been kept extremely busy with new sign up’s for the complete range of PADI dive courses, especially since the diving season is going to be cut short this year with the upcoming holy month of Ramadan followed by the Hari Raya holidays and soon after that, the annual North East Monsoon so if you still haven’t got that certification that you have been aiming for, do call Bob TODAY when there is still time.

Dive trips.

A lot of interest (and confirmations) have been received recently for most, if not all of our dive trips, both domestic and international as I guess the general population is looking for holidays to de-stress from our day to day activities work commitments, especially now with the many promotions from various airlines, all to our favour, with thanks.

On another note though, as I haven’t had the opportunity to go diving as much as I would have liked to this year, I will be accompanying more trips from here on and we are also in the process of “prepping” a lovely young lady as a ‘trip coordinator’ as she is certainly a lot younger, certainly better looking than either myself or Bob and rest assured that she is equally qualified or even better than us in coordinating your trips and we look forward to cutting the leash on her and getting her out there in the sun and in the wet with you.

Diving and etc.

We have always been taking pride on being the best stocked dive shop in Malaysia with the largest variety of dive gear and we have been repeatedly reminded of this by our happy customers and for this, we thank YOU. These kudos also come from many happy and satisfied diving customers who have returned from our personally visited &selected, value for money destinations that are strictly operated on a no hidden cost policy where focus is on convenience, your safety and of course, your comfort. As always, there are still quite a few new destinations on our drawing boards but as I haven’t been able to ‘visit” them yet, they will be marketed as soon as possible.

Some of you may also be aware that there has been a change of distributors for the Mares brand of equipment recently. The new distributor is treading slowly and carefully and has started distributing a limited range of this brand and of course, this is now available at Scuba Dynamics as well.

STOP PRESS: An email came in while I was typing this confirming that bookings for our Underwater Christmas trip to Kungkungan Bay Resort in Lembeh Strait from the 24th till 29th December 2009 will be entitled to an automatic upgrade to the extraordinarily comfortable deluxe traditional houses PLUS FREE air dives on their awesome house reef from 8.00am to 5.00pm PLUS a FREE 20 minute head or shoulder massage by their very capable crew but bookings must be confirmed (paid for in full by the 30th July 2009).
