I apologise once again for yet another delay in our monthly mailer but sometimes we just have to be patient for the good things in life and we share that with you here in this month’s mailer.
As most of you are aware of by now, our former instructor, Jeffrey Lee was killed in a tragic road accident on the 2nd August 2009 at the age of 35 and his remains were laid to rest on the 4th of August. All of us here at Scuba Dynamics’ offer our condolences to Jeff’s family and his loved ones.
Those of you who follow us on Face Book will be aware that we have just been appointed as dealer for the really awesome & excellent range of “prosumer” cameras, the Panasonic Lumix range. Google up Panasonic Lumix cameras for more details or better still, come by to have a look and feel of these cameras and their underwater housings that are rated down to 40 meters.
Responses to our dive trips are picking up again and this could be, in part, that the local diving season for 2009 is coming to an end soon so check the dive calendar section on our website and see which underwater adventure you’d like to be a part of, let us know and we’ll do the rest.
Our Annual International Clean Up Day in conjunction with the international Project AWARE will be happening from the 19th to 21st September 2009, right over the Hari Raya holidays. Details will be up on our website real soon and suggested mode of transport is via Malaysia Airlines, Air Asia, Fire Fly (from Subang airport), your very own 2 or 4 wheels or of course, public transport. Either way, you will get to enjoy 4 boat dives - 3 leisure dives PLUS 1 Project AWARE dive in an underwater clean up contribution and better still, this trip will be subsidised as our contribution to the World Project AWARE effort with a very generous contribution for YOU by the dive operator there, Sea Monkey Dive Centre. Please note that due to the expected logistic problems during this holiday, we have to strictly limit the number of divers and participants for this year’s event so hurry to avoid to missing the boat – literally!!!
There is now a last minute rush for divers wishing to get certified or upgraded before the season closes so if you are one of them, please email us NOW to avoid missing out on this great step.
The highlighted and highly popular Seeman Sub regulator set consisting of a 1st Stage, 2nd Stage, Octopus, Gauges and an exclusive carry bag that is still retailing at RM1800.00 / set has drawn a lot of attention recently, and quite rightly so too because it is hard to find an equally good and reliable regulator set at this on the market right now so do drop by for a look and be amongst the many who have been impressed with this mandatory piece of equipment for your diving adventures at a most affordable price for a limited amount of time only. Full description is posted on website so do have a look.
Yes, finally we received our Tourism Malaysia licence and we proudly announce that we are now 100% legit in all of our dive trips, both in and out of Malaysia and again, this is one “advantage” that we at Scuba Dynamics have over many other dive centres in the country at this stage, which has largely been made possible by your generous and kind support of Scuba Dynamics. Thank you all.
Bob has been faithfully updating our website and I can safely say that it has been loaded with a bunch of information, updates as well as photographs so if you haven’t been paying us a virtual visit, this is the time and be pleasantly surprised at the information that has been loaded into the various pages.
We wish to remind you, our friend, valued customer and fellow diver, that Scuba Dynamics will be joining Malaysia in her upcoming National Day celebrations by way of a company dive trip to the lovely Sutra Beach Resort and diving and snorkelling at the Redang / Bidong Archipelago of islands and Scuba Dynamics WILL BE CLOSED from the 29th to 31st August 2009.
And now the best news of all: With effect from this month, August 2009, Scuba Dynamics will be launching a monthly raffle which works like this:
1. Send an email to bob@scubadynamics.com.my with your name as per your certification card AND your certification number (regardless of whichever certification agency you are with.
2. We will randomly select a weekly winner and publish this on our website in a “voucher” form.
3. The winner will then have to print out the voucher and bring it to Scuba Dynamics to redeem the prize which will range from discounts, freebies, upgrades for training, “purchase with purchase” or something similar.
4. The winner has to surrender their vouchers upon receipt of their prizes, which are transferable, should you choose to share your good fortune with someone else, however, these vouchers are NOT exchangeable for cash or products in the store that are not listed as a weekly prize for this raffle.
5. Validity of this is three (03) months from date of draw and all names will be resubmitted after three months of your prize redemption for another chance to win something again.
With this, we wish all our Muslim friends a Selamat Menyambut Bulan Ramadan and a very Selamat Hari Raya with best wishes that you will keep happy, stay well and dive safe by diving Scuba Dynamics, anytime, anywhere.
To our non Muslim friends, do enjoy the upcoming holidays and to everyone, do not forget to join us in our ever growing diving community on Face Book with Diving with Scuba Dynamics of Malaysia or our newly created group, the Indian Divers Club, also on Face Book.
