Our dear friends, valued customer, fellow diver and supporter of Scuba Dynamics, as promised, here are the details as (partially) summarised in our last brief mailer.

1. RETAIL OPERATIONS:

Scuba Dynamics will be open seven days a week with effect from the 2nd February 2010 but still on the same operating hours, i.e. 12.00noon to 9.00pm Mondays to Saturdays and 12.00noon till 7.00pm on Sundays. We will close on major holidays.
We have completed our renovations, have expanded the floor space in the shop and are waiting for some new display racks.
This, we believe, will make your visits to Scuba Dynamics more comfortable and with this; we will be increasing our range and variety of products for you in the very near future.
We are known to be the best stocked dive shop in the country with an unequalled “after sales service” and we will endeavor to maintain this reputation and even improve on it where we can, strictly because there is nobody more important to us than YOU, our valued customer, treasured supporter, friend and fellow diver.
We have been having some problems with some of our supplies which resulted in many of you being disappointed with the lack of variety, sizes and / or colours in our range of diving equipment, accessories, toys and gadgets and if you were one of those, you will be happy to know that we have just received our long overdue shipment of goodies, many of which are new and all are already gracing our shelves, waiting for you with more due in the coming weeks. Information on these goodies are being up loaded as I am typing this so start logging in to see what’s in store for you and your loved ones.
Our most popular Annual Sales is happening as planned and dates will be announced as soon as we finalise the details with our suppliers to ensure that we do not run short of products for you over this period but rest assured that this will be happening really soon.
Scuba Dynamics will be closed for the Chinese New Year holidays from 4.00pm on the 13th till the 16th of February and will reopen as normal from the 17th of February 2010.

2. DIVING OPERATIONS:

The biggest change here (and an improvement we hope) is that we are not longer dependent on our single resident instructor and have joined forces with a few parties to have a “panel” of instructors on hand for you.
This, we believe, will give all you wannabe divers and those of who are looking at upgrading your diving certification levels and skills, will have more flexibility and that we can tailor the full range of PADI courses from the experience programme “Discover Scuba”, programmes for your younger ones, up to the highly sought after and prestigious PADI Instructor levels and all the exciting Specialty Diver certifications in between, to meet your convenience.
Naturally, with everyone busy with our own work and personal commitments, we are looking at doing certification or training trips over a weekend and these trips will be designed to accommodate the already certified diver who wishes to top up on their nitrogen boost and the accompanying non diving spouse or partner who needs a short weekend getaway to go snorkelling.
In other words, everyone, Mum Dad, Hubby, Wifey and the kids will all be able to get away for a family / friendly weekend together and for this, we are looking at destinations that are easier, more comfortable and more convenient to get to with decent accommodations, meals and of course, value for your money with full emphasis on your safety.
If you have visited our Diving Calendar page on our website, you would have noticed a host of new destinations made available for you this year.
Some are more “exotic” and naturally, costs a little more but we rather call those destinations a “once in a lifetime” destination where you pay a bit more but get to experience a one in a lifetime underwater adventure with a lifetime of memories but generally, we have tried our best to give you something for everyone and if you haven’t been visiting us on-line, may we suggest that you do so really soon as the monsoon looks like it will be kind enough to get us diving earlier than we had feared and expected this year.
We have started our annual negotiations with our various associates in diving and we are confident of being to revise the prices of some, if not most of our destinations and once again, once these new rates are written in concrete, we will share them with you via this mailer, and in our Face Book group “Diving with Scuba Dynamics of Malaysia”, a group that has proven to be a favourite with many of you out there as that is we post our impromptu announcements, new breaks and other information without waiting for our monthly mailers such as this.
Yours truly will be headed “on the road” soon with my visits to our associates and new destinations to see what else I can bring back for you.
Something that we played around with and started off with a bang but like many other things in life, interest slowly trickled off, is our Diver Raffle and as such, we will (sadly) be discontinuing this with effect from February 2010 but rest assured that we will honour all unclaimed prizes as per existing conditions until the end of March this year. In the meantime, we will be looking at our ways to keep you happy with another similar but different programme.

OTHER STUFF:

We are already in the process of planning our extremely popular and successful Annual Divers Night where we share the jubilation and joys of the newly certified divers, stories amongst the already certified or ‘hard core” diver in a night of fun, laughter, great company food, drinks and of course, valuable door and luck draw prizes. Once again, details will be announced in due course.
