Dear all,

As we head into February of 2008 and the upcoming holidays, here's our monthly mailer with some updates for all of you.

Diving Courses:

As the annual north east monsoon should be coming to an end soon, we are looking at starting our local leisure dive and training trips from March or as soon as the weather permits and please remember that we also cater to you, the already certified diver on our training trips with a separate itinerary for you to go on your leisure dives while the "students" keep themselves busy with their own activities.

A number of courses are already on-going in preparation for this and the good news is that we have finally got most of our Agent Rates for 2008 and we are happy to announce that we managed to keep most of our courses fees as per 2007.

To give you an idea of what to expect, our PADI Open Water Diver Course is still at RM950.00 and the open water segment or trip to the island is now RM370.00 instead of last year's RM390.00, a saving with thanks to Bubbles Dive Centre and Resort.

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is RM1220.00 with the open water bit at RM370.00 and likewise, the PADI Rescue Diver Course is RM1000.00 plus RM370.00.

Remember that the above prices are total and do not have any hidden costs apart from your transportation to the departure jetty, incidentals incurred at the resorts, the necessary application fees payable to PADI and study materials (for professional level courses) and of course, the cost of providing us with the necessary photographs for your certification.

Just for your information and those that cannot wait any longer to become a diver, we also have Open Water Classes scheduled from the end of February 2008. Please contact Jeff for details on this.

Dive Trips:

We have further strengthened our network with some other operators and are happy to announce that we are in a better position than ever before to offer you trips on a "dive anytime" basis. Not necessarily and solely on our published trips and dates. In other words, if you fancy a trip to somewhere that is not published, we will gladly put together a "non group package" for you but it may mean that you will not be accompanied by one or more of us from Scuba Dynamics and we play the role of an agent (with Agent's prices of course). These will be appearing under the "dive anytime" section on our website.

As per always, "if you ask, you will get" and this year we will be offering a few "up-market" dive trips that provide a higher level standard of everything and these destinations are probably more suitable for families and non diving spouses, kids, partners, grandma's or grandpa's or whoever else, except the family pet, not forgetting of course, the honey mooners.

As promised in earlier mailings, a few new destinations have been added to our current "menu" and they will be announced as soon as they come off the drawing boards so please remember to keep your eyes open for this or on our website, www.scubadynamics.com.my

Unfortunately we do not have any trip flyers to include in this mailer at the moment but our planned trips for the 2nd Quarter of 2008 are:

Pulau Aur from 10th to 13th April

1. Pulau Tenggol from 24th to 27th April
2. Tulamben, Bali from 1st to 4th May 2008
3. Lankayan Island from 15th to 19th May
4. Pulau Weh from 28th to 1st June
5. Manado 5* from 25th to 30th June

Mabul Photo Fiesta in March:

Sadly, Olympus has decided to pull out from this event but the trip to the lovely Sipadan Water Village Resort is still happening as planned and Ivan Choong, the appointed Photo Pro will be on site to help you with your underwater photography adventures so if you fancy a 5 day / 4 night dive trip to Malaysia's very own diving paradise, sign up NOW as prices for any dive trip to that region will be increasing very soon but we are able to accommodate you with the current prices up to the end of 2008, provided you make the booking with a deposit before they announce their new rates.

What the new rates are anybody's guess at this moment but you can expect a minimum of a 20% increase.

New Web Site:

No, we have not forgotten about this but typical of us, being the fussy and demanding sort, we have finally sorted out how we would like our new web site to be and if we promise to let the designers do their work properly, we should have the new site running "live" on the 1st of March 2008.

This new website will be more structured and contain as much, if not more information and features and it is our hope that you will find it useful, informative and fun to visit. All the information displayed on the new site of happenings, information, updates and news will only be those that are current and active and not "old news" or inactive.

While on this topic, some of you may already know that we have started to standardise our identity with new business cards and uniforms. This will be an on-going exercise over the next few months, which by then, we hope to have created a more uniformed, standardised and attractive identity for Scuba Dynamics and our team.

In view of this, please note the following email addresses that have already been introduced and will be fully in force by the 1st of March 2008.

I know that I can be and am "long winded" in my mailers and as such, we will be reducing the number of mailers and announcements as these will be incorporated into the new website.
