Happy 2009 greetings to all our friends, valued customers & fellow divers.

Welcome to Scuba Dynamics' very first monthly mailer for 2009 and do bear with us as this will be a long one – a necessity in order for us to update you with what has been going on and what lies ahead for YOU this year.

2008 was a very fruitful year for us as we met many new friends and successfully managed to introduce the joys of scuba diving to many others. The year happily ended with a most successful Annual Divers Graduation Night party, where we saw 170+ attendees, most who went home with some gift, prize or another. We again say a big thank you to all of you who attended this event and to those who missed out, have no fear; there will be another one in 2009.

Naturally, we also graciously thank our many generous friends, suppliers and operators who were extremely generous with their contributions in form of gift items, valuable dive trips and vouchers of various sorts. Thank you all.

2009 already sees us with an excellent stocking situation and our latest shipment brought you many items that are not available in other stores in the Malaysian market and we have yet more on order, including some fine underwater photography accessories. Naturally, we are placing ever more emphasis on our reputation of being Malaysia's best equipped dive store with exceptional after sales service & support and of course, being Malaysia's top PADI diver education provider that operates strictly on a No Hidden Cost policy.

Dive Operations:

This is headed by our resident instructor, Jeffrey Lee, who has been run off his feet in 2008 and is already looking along the same lines in 2009 with our complete range of PADI dive courses, trips & excursions to many destinations, including a few new ones for this season. We start the season with an already fully booked trip to the lovely Sipadan Water Village Resort at the end of January, another very 'do-able" trip to the very tropical and lovely Ko Lanta in Southern Thailand. Future trips will include destinations like Manado, Lembeh Strait, The Philippines, Raja Ampat, The Komodo Islands and Christmas Island.

Do not forget that Jeffrey will be conducting yet another Equipment Workshop for those of you who would like to take your knowledge a little further by having a better understanding of your SCUBA system, how it works and you YOURSELF can properly maintain and service your "oh so important" diving apparatus including performing some field repairs to "save a dive". The first course is scheduled on Saturday, 24^th January 2009 for a maximum of eight persons with more classes to come thereafter.

Scuba Dynamics' proudly retains the PADI 5 Star IDC Centre statusin 2009, where a number of professional level courses, including the most highly sought after PADI Instructor Development Course, will be conducted throughout the year, starting from March 2009.

With the help of a dear friend and also recently roped on board, PADI Instructor Nanda Kumar, we are confident of helping you "Go Pro" in your diving adventures and be "polished" off by our own PADI Course Director, Mr. Arnold Yap conducting the PADI IDC programmes. Underwater Photography:

As highlighted during our recent Divers Night Party, we have successfully managed to coax Mr. Ivan Choong from Singapore to join us at Scuba Dynamics to share with us his wealth of experience in underwater & top side photography. Ivan has recently been recognized by various 'top guns" in Singapore and further away and his profile can be seen on our website. Please feel free to contact Ivan directly with all your questions about photography tips, techniques, equipment and accessories at photo@scubadynamics.com.my

Naturally, Ivan will be conducting a series of underwater clinics here at Scuba Dynamics throughout the year as well.

Retail Department:

Headed by our Retail Executive, Guru, and as mentioned, our shelves are bursting at the seams with such an immense variety of diving equipment, accessories and gadgets that we are still enjoying our tag line of being Non Brand Biased and offers as much variety as possible with something for everyone and everything being carefully sourced and selected for value for money, reliability, comfort & ease of use and of course, assured serviceability. We proudly took on the awesome range of Halcyon Diving Systems in 2008 and this range is so awesome that it needs no introduction or "sales talk" as divers in the know, know Halcyon.

We are also proud of our extremely popular range of dive apparel under the famed label of Dive Junkie, a range that proved extremely popular throughout the year and especially so during the recent festive season and we are confident of its continued popularity with divers, beach holiday makers and literally, anyone else who wears clothes.

We will continue to supply you with some fine underwater photography accessories and this time, with the expertise and advice from our very own photo pro, Ivan.

As mentioned in previous mailers, we had some sad problems with our email database and we are still in the process of rebuilding that but we are very pleasantly surprised that "hits" on website, www.scubadynamics.com.my has increased threefold, with the most popular other alternative for impromptu announcements, updates and news is our group "Diving with Scuba Dynamics of Malaysia" on Face Book and if you haven't signed in to that group, we most strongly suggest you do for a whole string of reasons.
