30 June 2008

Hello all,

For those of you who are reading this now, I guess you didn't manage to get away the holiday weekend and to those who are reading this during the week, we hope you had a short but good break.

This is an announcement that we felt couldn't wait so here you go:

  1. After a long absence we finally have the extremely popular MEW full foot fins back in our store. Theses fins are a "must have" for their "power" underwater yet versatile as a full foot fin, made of solid rubber, thus lasting forever and are attractive aesthetically wise. Three different colours with three stiffness in the blade = different "power" while finning underwater, just ideal for all with varying strength in their legs. Come by and see for yourself why these fins are enjoying such a good reputation amongst many diving professionals and leisure divers.
  2. Next is that the much awaited for return of the Apollo Bio – Filter. This device attaches to your 1st stage before your intermediate pressure (air) hose that connects to your primary 1st stage and comprises of a little charcoal filter (to remove unwanted carbon dioxide and other "nasty" gases/substances before your air goes through a moisturising sponge (that you wet with water before your dive) to moisturise the air that you breathe and is perfect for smokers and those who complain of dry throats during a dive. In short, air from your tank passes through the built in filter in your first stage, then the charcoal filter and finally the moisturising sponge and the result"? Lesser chances of getting headaches from "bad air" fills, less dry throat syndromes and a more pleasant diving experience. I have used this little device for years and swear that it is one of the best diving innovations since the creation of S.C.U.B.A.
  3. Better news is that Suunto, the makers of fine (and well proven to be so) diving computers have finally agreed to put their latest wrist worn dive computer, the Suunto D4 on a promotional price. This awesome piece of machinery now retails for RM1502.00 Nett versus the launch price of R2420.00 – a saving of RM918.00 or a full local dive trip with some extras. Because of this of much appreciated price reduction, number of units are limited and this promo is valid till stocks run out or till the distributors cancel the promotion. Picture of this little baby is on our website.
  4. In view of our recent appointment as Priority Dealer for the extremely popular range of Halcyon range of dive products in Malaysia, these items have been selling like hot cakes and this just goes to prove that this is THE accepted system for the diving pro, underwater explorer or technical diver as well as those would like to own a set of extremely reliable, robust, fully tested range of equipment. Come by and see for yourself why this range is so highly respected by the pros in the industry and that Halcyon is the only dive equipment manufacturer where their entire staff dive it to fully understand their systems and is the only manufacturer with their own highly recognised and respected training programs.
  5. The very BEST news in this announcement is that we have finally got our North Bali Dive Package together and as per the attachment, you can go sightseeing,  enjoy some of Bali's great shopping opportunities and dining experiences, get some awesome dives in at the world famous Nusa Penida (where the elusive Mola Mola (Sunfish) are, some excellent macro diving ( great underwater photographic opportunities) , dive the worlds famous USS Liberty Wreck at Tulamben (another awesome experience and excellent photographic opportunity) PLUS get to swim with, play with and cuddle up with real live dolphins in the friendly confines of a specially constructed pool where the dolphins are regularly monitored by vets and other experts to ensure they are healthy and happy. These dolphins were rescued from a certain death when caught by fishermen and where on the way to being turned into Dolphin Satay and over a long period of time, have been very successfully rehabilitated to interact with humans in a safe manner and in a closely monitored environment.Just think. How many have you wished you had had the opportunity to swim & play with dolphins, much less seeing and watching them? Well, Scuba Dynamics now offers you this lifetime opportunity while enjoying all of the above, all on a single trip and most reasonable price. Open the attachment and be pleasantly surprised at how affordable and convenient this trip is and right over our Malaysian National Holidays at that: >) Of course, places are limited so book early and take advantage of the current price war between our airlines and get some most reasonable airfares....
  6. Our website www.scubadynamics.com.my has just undergone a revamp and is looking better than ever, is more informative and better laid out. Visit us there for latest updates and information and please bear with us while we continue in our efforts to make this website THE website of the diving industry, a journey that we well on our way and very almost there:>)
  7. Our little community on Facebook "Diving with Scuba Dynamics" is still fast growing in numbers of people who have joined so if you haven't done so yet, do it today but please take note that Scuba Dynamics cannot be and will not be held responsible for anything that could go wrong on trips that are organised by certain members of that community and other groups. A recent disaster of a trip to Sea Ventures off Mabul by an inexperienced, unqualified party testifies that you should leave things like this to us, the professionals in the industry that has the resources to support you when things do not turn out the way that they should be.

Cheers all,

Henry.
