The UWL-100 is designed to perform equally well both underwater and above. Underwater it is an extreme wide-angle converter, in air it is a fisheye converter. With the optional Dome Lens Unit for UWL-100, an attachment dome to fit over UWL-100, it is possible to achieve even wider underwater angle of view, close to that currently possible on land.
In addition to enabling extreme wide angle of view, the optical design of the UWL-100 allows closer focusing distance so better "wider macro" photography is possible.

Ultra Light DB Arm 5" & 8"
There are lots of combinations you can have for arms. The still photographer usually uses a double arm whether of equal lengths or unequal lengths. The videographer usually uses a single arm length (requires one less clamp).
Arm length is based on what type of photography you intend to do. If you only do macro then you want a small compact arm that will reach your subjects. If you do only wide angle then you want to get your strobes out away from the camera to lessen the backscatter that you get when your strobes light the water in front of the subject you are photographing. If you do both types of photography then you will need to figure the length that will give you the wide angle photography and not be in the way for macro work.
The 8" arms are the most popular for both types of pictures.
Used with the remote TTL Slave Adaptor, or any Spotting Light Adaptor.
The clamps are what hold the ball ends together. They function much as your own arm joints function. Our system is designed for three clamps per arm side. This gives you the greatest flexibility of movement, i.e. you have a joint at your wrist, your elbow, and your shoulder. A regular or new style clamp holds two ball ends together. When assemblying your arms and clamps, place the ball ends in between the identical parts of the clamp and use the T-knob to tighten or loosen.
